<3 Movie Nights <3

GLISTENING with hot, melted butter, baby!! :D (And SALT soo much salt. Mmm.)

More stuff in here -->

Mint chocolate chip ice cream, of course. ^-^

House of 1,000 Corpses is just THE funniest movie ever, period. I mean, you've gotta have a dark sense of humour, obviously, but if you do...!! :D Captain Spaulding leaves us cry-laughing every time. ^-^

And then, the next night (a very sad night) he went and got us delicious Chinese food:

The pink drink is sparkling water with raspberry. :)

(small, family-run joint and we love it) and then we watched my favourite film of ALL time, second only to Beetlejuice...

Field of Dreams. It's perfect. It's not about baseball, it's about forgiveness, belief, bravery and the pursuit of truth and lifelong learning... And so much more. It touches my soul so deeply, and I have quite literally seen it hundreds of times. If you don't like Kevin Costner, and many don't, then, just...picture him as someone you do like. The writing in that movie is phenomenal and the score by James Horner always shatters me a little. It's hilarious yet poignantly beautiful. It's got everything.

The end scene, with the cars?

That's real.

The local radio station in that little Iowa town asked all the residents to please turn their house lights off, drive to the field, and for every second car to flash their hi/low beams over and it looked like they were sparkling. You feel the magic... I sure did/do.

Every. Single. Thing. That Terence Mann says.

Doc Archibald 'Moonlight' Graham's obituary? It's real, word for word.

He was a real man. That was all true.

My father showed it to me when I was about 5...and if you've seen it, you get how special that is. And we watched it once or twice a year together after that right up until I moved out, I think...

I need to go put my face in an old catcher's mitt, now.
