Time to Grow Some 'Fro! ^-^

Isn't that hilarious? My guy actually gifted me this when we moved in here (Dec. 2018) and I finally feel ready to use it. ^-^ (I fell into a depression last year... Whatever. Moving forward.)

:)

Hope you're having a great day, too! (The sun is shining here, I'm halfway through my daily to-do list and all our animals are having a peaceful morning nap right now. Bliss!!)
One Love World

<3 For When the World Re-Opens <3

I've been making a big effort to keep my LJ a current-events-free zone, but I still wanted to quickly organize my thoughts on what I want to do most when the world is open for business again. It's easy to list off a hundred things so instead I'm going to list the Top 5 in order of want-y-ness. ^-^

Top 5 Open-World Activities

5. Get all dressed up and go out for a beautiful sit-down dinner at The Keg Steakhouse. It's a lovely restaurant and expensive enough that there are exactly zero kids present (it also has a fancy bar, so that helps). :D

4. Visit our local bird sanctuary!

3. Re-start our Sunday morning tradition of going to the McHaffie Flea Market. ^-^ (The only link available is to their Facebook page, and it's not Wednesday or Saturday so I won't click it or else it'll sign me in! Blurgh.)

2. Peruse all the secondhand shops for a few "new" summer pieces! :)

1. And the thing I'm most looking forward to... Upper Canada Village <3

It's dead quiet around here today so if you feel like doing this in your own journal, I'd love to read it! :)

For You, My Heart

By Jenny Schecter

For you, my heart...
ripped from my chest. Eviscerated. I am.

And if I could,
I would plunge my fingers through my chest
and rip out my heart and give it to you.
A pulpy mass of morbid diathesis.
In addition to my heart,
there are some small organs that I want to give you
glands, sweetbreads... Variety meats.

I am offering these gifts.
Rare gifts.

I know they don't amount to much
in the face of what you've given me.
I've heard these organs cannot survive outside the body
for more than a few hours.
But I'll try to get there as soon as I can.
Whatever happens, it'll be on me.
On my heart.

Isn't it lovely?

Dedicated to a dear friend here--you know who you are. <3

...And I'm sorry--I ruin everything--I couldn't stop myself from adding this gif... -> Collapse )
